Atlanta, GA. – April 11, 2018 – Lawrence Loshak and Burtin Racing head south for the next stop on the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli schedule this weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Round 3 of the 2018 Championship will feature three days of on on-track action alongside FARA for an event dubbed the South Florida Sports Car Challenge, April 13-15.

The sharply prepared No. 2 Pennzoil/ETE-Reman/GoShare Chevrolet Camaro has proven that Loshak has one of the quickest cars in the field, but so far this season unlucky circumstances have prevented the on track speed conversion into points. The opening weekend at Sebring saw the Shorewood, WI pilot finish in a creditable fifth place, while Road Atlanta summed a qualification round mishap and a mechanical retirement in the race after Loshak picked his way assiduously through the field to be in challenging position, from starting in the back.

“The guys have worked really hard since the last round in Atlanta and we did some dyno work earlier this week, it has been really busy in the shop,” said Claudio Burtin, team owner. “We look forward to a great crowd and some hot weather down in Homestead this weekend.”

“I have been counting down the days to our race in Homestead and it can’t come soon enough,” stated driver Lawrence Loshak. “We all know we are fast and it’s now time to put it on the top step where this team belongs. The crew has been working non-stop, so I am going for max points this weekend!”

The speedway course for the weekend is a modified road course, 2.3-miles which includes Turn 3 and 4 of the NASCAR oval. Qualifying for the No. 2 Pennzoil/ETE-Reman/GoShare Camaro is scheduled for Saturday with the Trans Am 100-mile race on Sunday. Forecasters predict temperatures to hit 87 degrees Saturday with rain forecast for later on in the weekend.
