Alpharetta, GA – May 12, 2016 – The Trans Am series will continue the championship battle at Watkins Glen this weekend as part of The Classic Tube 100. The No. 7 GoShare Chevrolet Corvette C7.R will be back on track this Friday starting at 10:10 a.m. ET for the first practice session. Team Burtin Racing has been working intently in preparation for Watkins Glen and aims to bounce back from a rough weekend at Road Atlanta where mechanical failures shortened the race for the No. 7 GoShare Corvette C7.R.

Competition will be fierce with a record 76 entries between all classes. The entire team will have a chance to rise above all others in this 102-mile race. If all registered entries emerge on track, this event will be the largest car count in Trans Am series’ 50-year history. All fans and followers of the series should expect a race to remember this weekend at Watkins Glen.

“The last time I drove at The Glen was for the 6-hour and it is definitely a demanding technical track,” said Claudio Burtin, team owner and driver. “Our team is looking forward to our first time out there with the GoShare Corvette. We expect to have all hands on deck with a full team effort in order to maximize the limited track time this weekend.”

Burtin started off the season with an excellent third place finish at Sebring International Raceway and momentum is high to seek out another podium result in the famed Trans Am series.

The Chevrolet Corvette will sport the GoShare theme again this weekend for Round 3 of the Trans Am Championship after debuting a team partnership at Road Atlanta last month. GoShare plans to support Burtin Racing for the remainder of the 2016 season. The GoShare mobile application provides a truck or cargo van option for on-demand moving and delivery services.
