Atlanta, GA – May 5, 2015 – The Trans Am Series is ready to soar to new heights this weekend at the historic Road Atlanta racing circuit with a record-breaking entry list of 75 cars for the FOAMETIX Trans Am 100 & Muscle Car Challenge set for May 7-9. 

Burtin Racing driver Claudio Burtin enters the weekend with his No. 7 FOAMETIX Corvette C7.R with having two strong finishes at the first two rounds in Florida at Sebring International Raceway and Homestead-Miami Speedway. He currently sits fifth in the season’s championship point standings.

FOAMETIX will headline the Trans Am event at Road Atlanta as title sponsor for the race weekend and they will be present with FOAMETIX brand experts to reach out to race fans with a message about the benefits of environmentally friendly spray foam insulation for residential and commercials applications.

“I am personally really excited for the race in Atlanta this weekend and I know the team is looking forward to the race taking place at our local track Road Atlanta,” stated Claudio Burtin, driver and team principal. “The team has been working day and night to get ready for Road Atlanta and the racing on Saturday should prove to be a good show for the fans with the record setting car count and a field full of fierce drivers.”

Road Atlanta is located just north of Braselton, Georgia and consists of a 2.54-mile 12-turn asphalt road course established in 1970. Trans Am has a rich racing history at Road Atlanta and Round 3 of the 2015 championship will mark the 21st appearance at the Georgia track for the SCCA Pro Racing sanctioned Trans Am series.
