Brainerd, MN – July 7, 2016 – Brainerd International Raceway located in Minnesota was the destination for the Trans Am Series that marked the fifth points sanctioned race and sixth total race event of the year. This was Burtin Racing’s first visit to Brainerd as the team added the new opportunity to demonstrate the strength of the racing program at the venue.
“I thoroughly enjoyed my first time at BIR and you can sense the auto racing history the first time you drive out on the track and take the fast banked right-hander turn,” said Claudio Burtin, Burtin Racing owner and driver. “The team chased the car setups and worked on our approach to the race all weekend. I am very proud of my guys taking home the Pitcrew Performance Award – it is much deserved.”
The outstanding teamwork by the Burtin Racing crew members this past weekend was recognized by the Trans Am Series officials with the Pitcrew Performance Award. The stellar job executing quick repairs to the No. 7 GoShare Corvette C7.R went above the call of duty and the crew was prepared to deliver for their driver.
Burtin Racing leaves Round 5 of the Trans Am Series Championship seventh in the points chase and will head to the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for a pairing with the NASCAR Xfinity Series on August 11-13.
